Rent A Flat or A House

Renting a flat in Paris is sometimes a good alternative for couples traveling as a group and/or with children or those who prefer self-catering options.

Rates vary greatly between 60 euros a night for a 25m2 apartment in Nation to 250 Euros a night for a 4 bedroom flat in Passy. Most apartments are to be rented for a minimum of 3 nights, sometimes a week.

The concept of staying in “your own house” while on holidays in France is very common. Throughout the country, one finds small houses, called “gites” with 2 to 6 bedrooms on rent on a weekly basis, or sometimes for just a few days. Here again, these may be a favoured option for those travelers who like to prepare their own meals.

Rates vary according to the size of the house, the facilities (e.g. access to swimming pool) and, of course, the region and season. A 2-bedroom house in Brittany may go for 350 Euros a week in May while a 3 bedroom in Provence will be up to 700 Euros a week in July.
