YOU ARE IN PARIS!

Le Louvre

Whether your main interest is in art, architecture, history, fashion, theatre you will find it all and much more in Paris. Paris has been around for a long, long time and you will discover sites as historically varied as the Roman Baths, medieval cathedrals, the Louvre, the Sacré Coeur, the Eiffel tower or the futuristic science museum.

Browsing at the bouqinistes

But you may just enjoy getting a feel of the city by browsing at the bouquinistes (traditional book stores) along the Seine, or enjoying the sun on a bench in the Luxembourg Gardens. Paris is a rather compact city and distances are not insurmountable. We therefore find that walking really is the best way to enjoy a visit. We encourage our travelers to go along our pre-planned special walks but also to just get on with it and find, or lose, their way on their own according to their own intuitions.

"Secret" covered passage

One just never gets lost in Paris because the metro system is so efficient that one always finds the way home –and don’t worry, you will always find someone who will speak some English!

Café breaks in Paris will not only give your legs a welcome respite, they are also a treat in themselves. Although you will no doubt find the price of an express (small, tight, black coffee) a bit steep (!) it is well worth the money spent considering you’ll actually be sitting at a Paris café! Yes, yes, this is a total cliché, but so very true! Parisians do spend a lot of time socializing and chatting in café or just on their own sipping a coffee while reading their newspaper or –mostly- watching pretty girls and handsome men go by (Parisians are not politically correct)... So take your time, sit back, stop running from one site to another and enjoy...

A typical Parisian bistrot

If you want a more substantial lunch, stop at one of the famous Brasseries near Montparnasse or in a typical Parisian Bistrot.
